The Grand Paris Sud urban area wants to encourage its local residents to use public transport. As part of this, it is currently experimenting in partnership with ParkingMap to develop intermodality by offering connected park & ride services. Currently, part of the Seine-et-Marne living area is served by the RER D service. To get to Paris, a large number of residents drive to the nearest RER station to their home, park in a park & ride car park and then take public transport. All the park & ride car parks for the RER stations of Cesson, Moissy-Cramayel, Lieusaint, Savigny-le-Temple and Combs-la-Ville are therefore mapped to provide users with real-time information on available spaces. This information, linked with RER and station bus timetables, is available through the ParkingMap mobile app.
